Consultations

Most, but not all, of our first meetings are at no charge.

We want to be clear what a "Free Consultation" is.  It is a chance to meet one another, to understand your legal needs, for us to determine if your matter is something we can help you with, and if we are comfortable working with each other.  We will discuss our plan for your matter if you hire us, what are reasonable expectations, and what we will charge you.  It is unlikely that we will resolve your matter at the first meeting, but will likely have obtained the necessary information to get started.

Being "comfortable working with each other" is very important.  We are not hired by everyone who comes to see us, nor do we accept engagements from everyone who comes in.  The attorney-client relationship is a personal one and there needs to be a good fit between us.  There are a lot of good attorneys out there and perhaps there is one who is better suited to your needs.

There are some consultations that are not free.  If legal services are rendered at the meeting, such as doing a quick review and explaination of a contract, we will bill you for those services.

To schedule an appointment with one of our attorneys please call us at (440) 331-0801.  We do not use an internet scheduling calendar.  We have found it far more efficient to talk directly.  Telephones are still good for something.
