On March 24, 2020 the Chicago Tribune ran an article entitled Estate planning in the time of coronavirus: 'For most people, they’re off busy living, and not thinking about dying’. While the article is focused on Illinois law and Illinois law firms, the sentiment is correct: We are too caught up in the flurry of life to deal with estate planning.
But as the government has imposed a slower pace of life upon us, and as this is the result of the novel coronavirus pandemic, this is a good time to think about such things.
One of the documents we prepare is an Advance Medical Directive – in the form of a Living Will and Health Care Power of Attorney. For those of you who don’t have one, this would be a good time to get one in place.
We feel strongly about the need for this document. To that end, Farah, Roberts & Ganor, Ltd. offers to prepare a Health Care Power of Attorney for you at no charge. This offer includes an initial telephone or video consultation of 20 minutes, preparation of the document, and a short meeting to sign the document. This offer is available through April 30, 2020.
To take advantage of this offer, please call the office at 440-331-0801 to schedule your appointment.
